Whether you need a week to buy, wrap, and mail a gift or just 10 minutes to make it to an appointment on time, the reminders in the Hotmail calendar are there for you. You can even select to get reminders in Messenger, in email, or as text messages on your mobile phone.
Step 1: Choose how you'd like to be notified
Click Options, and then select how you'd like to get reminders for all of your upcoming events. You can also turn off notifications for all of your calendars by clearing the check boxes.
Step 2: Change the reminder time for a specific event
You can set several different reminder times for each event. You can also choose where to receive each reminder. Just click the event in your calendar to see the event details. Once you've created the reminders for that event, click Save.
