Changes are coming to Windows Live Spaces

We want you to have the best possible blogging experience, so Windows Live Spaces is partnering with WordPress.com. It's quick to set up, easy to use, and full of exciting personalization and management options.

If you have an existing blog on Spaces, it's easy to move your blog to WordPress.com, but you can also download your blog or delete it. Or you can do nothing, but note that your entire space will be automatically deleted on March 16, 2011.

What do I need to do?

It's entirely up to you to decide what to do with your blog content on Spaces. You can:

If you want to review your existing blog before you make a decision, go to your space and sign in. You just need to choose an option before March 16, 2011.

When do I need to decide?

Here are the important dates to consider as Spaces moves to WordPress.com:

September 30, 2010 January 4, 2011 March 16, 2011

  • You can still write to your Spaces blog.

  • You can move, download, or delete your blog.

  • You can no longer write to your Spaces blog, but you can still view it.

  • You can move, download, or delete your blog.

  • All spaces are automatically deleted and no longer available.
